Kryptonite Locks Easy to Pick
In articles posted on numerous websites are secrets
to picking Kryptonite locks. The long time ruler of bike locks,
Kryptonite, has a major flaw in its' design. It seems the heavy U shaped
locks can be picked with an ordinary "Bic" pen rather easily. Kryptonite
has reportedly offered a new lock with a flat key that defers thieves,
but have at this time have not offered a recall for the original locks. |

Lance Armstrong Wins #6
Today will go down in the history books
as the day that American, Lance Armstrong, won an unprecedented
6th Tour de France. Lance cruised the last stage taking no
chances and enjoying the ride. In traditional fashion he sipped
champagne with team official Johan and then kept pace with the
USPS team at the front of the peleton as the stage headed into
Paris. After leading the first lap on the Champs Elysees , USPS
gave up the lead to the sprinters where Tom Boonen eventually
won the stage. Support Lance and Live Strong!

A couple of 26" racers showed up in Pittsburgh, PA to
race the NBL Southpark BMX National. The Southpark track is one of the
most exciting on the bmx circuit with a slight downhill and huge jumps.
When asked why he was racing his full-suspension Intense Tazer at a bmx
race, Jay responded, "It's just like mountaincross, and more
competitive." Hopefully this is a trend we will see more of in the

Pensacola Trails at UWF Threatened
It seems the University of West Florida has got wind of
the freeride trails that were built on their property and want to have them plowed.
While there are miles of trails for mountain biking, horse riding and
atv's, this small riding area seems to cause fear for the powers that
be. For
now they are in tact, so enjoy them while you can. |

Outlaw ATBMX Series Scheduled
The schedule for 2004 is set
http://www.atbmx.com/event_calendar.html With all that is going on
there is plenty to keep you busy. We have been busy organizing an
ATBMX Outlaw Series that will feature 3 disciplines of riding,
enduro, freestyle and race. A few sites have been
selected for jam type events with the more competitive events scheduled
to kick off in April. We are still ironing out the details and will post
the info when everything is confirmed. The outlaw jams will be held at
unnamed locations until just before the event to protect the spots. Only
the city will be announced with the date until just before the event.
The competitive events will be held at designated parks and tracks and
will be hosted with advance notice. Just like the "old days" you can
help pioneer an emerging sport. For more information email us outlaw@atbmx.com
