SRAM Twist
Shifters
Not only do these parts work, but they are easy to install. You can have
them installed at your favorite shop, or you can do it yourself and save
some change. They also work great with the ODI half grips.

CamelBak
Mule
The leader and originator of the personal hydration system. Kudos to
Camelbak for innovations that made the Pakster even better. The Mule
carries tool, tubes, cameras and more. The new valve allows water
to flow freely from the new large mouth water bag that cam be turned
inside out for cleaning.

Gusset Single
Speed Conversion
This simple kit comes with two cogs(16t & 18t), two spacers, and a
cassette lockring. All for about $35-$40. You can use a variety of chains. I opted for
a BMX chain since they're more durable. This set-up is not for everyone,
but the best way that I have found to keep from breaking derailleurs is
to eliminate them.

Chris King No
Threadset
"Bicycling Magazine
'Editors Choice Award Winner!" "The King headset is the most durable
piece of bicycle equipment on the planet....It's the cyclist's dream: a
component you ride, not work on."" -May/02.King has set an industry
standard for two decades that no imitator has been able to match. Their
unique, serviceable cartridge bearings far outlast other bearings and
provide easy access for cleaning and greasing. Five-year warranty. The
No Threadset design is for threadless steering systems. |

Disorderly Conduct
This video has been out a while, but I'm just now getting around to
writing about it. You'll want to get a copy if you don't already own it.
The theme is of a jailbreak and the riding is amazing. Impressive parts
belong to Cedric Gracia with his flowing style, Kyle Strait jumps
everything and shares a part with up and comer Cameron Zink. Other
notables include Darren Berrecloth, Wade Simmons, Steve Peat, Richey
Schley, Aaron Chase, Kurt Voreis, Nathan Rennie and more... |

Truvativ Holzfeller Crankset
If you are looking for a strong crankset that is also light enough to
not weight you down, look no further. I've been using these cranks for a
few months now and have abused them thoroughly. They come with a sealed
ISIS BB and work great with the Truvativ Bashguard and Chainglide. |

 |
Truvativ Bars and Stem
These bars demand
respect. Right out of the box they scream strength. The feel is right,
but a little wide for my taste. I cut mine down for just the right
width and found myself immediately comfortable with the rise. I've been
using this setup for about 4 months now and I've had no problems. The
bars are strong and the stem is stiff. They handle big drops and go
where you point them.

Truvativ Chainguide and
Bashguard
THESE PARTS WORK. They are easy to install and adjust as
well, with a simple design and less parts. The chainguide comes in diffrerent sizes, depending on your bottom
bracket. It is adjustable for the size of your chainring and if you want
you can use 2 and a derailleur. The bashguard will protect your
chainring when doing grinds or crossing logs. Ask for them at your
favorite shop. |

Lizard Skin Carbon
Chainstay Protector
These things look cool, but don't get the job done. I cut mine and used
part for cable rub and part for the chainstay. Both peeled off on the
first ride. Invest in the sewn fabric ones by Lizard Skin, they work. |

Fox Digit Gloves
These gloves are available now and work good on the trail. They have
chamois on the top and padding in the palm. The only negative about them
is the sewn ends on the fingers, which by the way keep them from coming
unraveled, cause some some discomfort.
